My paintings begin where language reaches its limit.
Rather than depicting the visible world, I seek the invisible structures that lie beneath perception—the ways memory takes shape, the threshold where silence meets movement, and the traces that time leaves within the human spirit. I chose abstraction because it allows these realities to exist without being confined to fixed meanings. The lines, arcs, fragments, and layers that emerge in my work are never fully planned. I paint, erase, conceal, destroy, and reveal again. Through this repeated process, intention and chance gradually enter into dialogue. Within each painting, what remains unpainted is as essential as what is visible. To me, empty space is not an absence; it is an integral part of the structure itself. My practice is not driven by the pursuit of completion. It is an ongoing search for the hidden order that exists within painting. Destruction and creation, silence and tension, freedom and restraint are not opposing forces. They coexist, supporting one another within a delicate equilibrium. When that balance is finally felt, the work begins to carry a presence that reaches beyond my own intentions. The restrained palette that often appears in my work—primarily black and white, with occasional accents of red or metallic tones—is never symbolic decoration. By reducing visual elements to their essence, I seek to reveal the rhythm of form, the depth of space, and the quiet presence that exists within the painting itself. Through this simplicity, I hope viewers are free to discover new structures and meanings that unfold slowly through sustained observation. After many years devoted to education, I began my artistic practice later in life. Yet painting did not represent a new beginning. Rather, it became another language through which I continue the same lifelong exploration: seeking the invisible dimensions of human growth, memory, and existence. I do not wish to provide answers or narratives. Instead, I hope each painting becomes an open space where viewers may encounter their own memories, emotions, and quiet contemplation. If, for even a brief moment, time seems to stand still and something beyond words becomes perceptible, then the painting has fulfilled its purpose. My practice is an endless exploration of existence itself.
Between structure and margin.
Between silence and movement.
Between disappearance and renewal.
Each painting is not a conclusion, but a trace left along that continuing journey of discovery.
